Raj joined DevOpsGroup in 2018 following 20 years working for a leading aerospace and defence business. He has first-hand experience of the challenges surrounding increased customer expectation, technical advancement and market competition at the enterprise level. And he understands the need to balance acceleration of pace with the management of escalating financial, cyber and compliance risks.
At DevOpsGroup, Raj helps customers establish and embed people, process and technology capabilities using cloud and DevOps principles to improve stability while reducing software delivery times from months to minutes.
Since joining, Raj has helped develop our Adaptive IT Framework to guide digital transformation, and spoken at conferences including DevOps Enterprise Summit, CIO Watercooler Live, WinOps and Digital Transformation Expo. He’s also written a series of DevOps articles and contributed to the definition of the ‘five ideals’ in Gene Kim’s The Unicorn Project (sequel to The Phoenix Project).
At home, Raj enjoys spending time with his family and dogs. Especially when it’s in the Lake District with a good mountain walk, followed by good food, a nice wine and a roaring fire.
Raj Fowler, Principal Consultant at DevOpsGroups, reflects on the things he learnt while leading the digital transformation journey at BAE Systems.
At WinOps 2018, Raj Fowler delivered a thought-provoking keynote speech on BAE Systems’ DevOps journey and how it's modernised the century-old organisation.
