Here at DevOpsGroup we run our managed service team, otherwise known as the Operate team. We are slightly different to other managed services in that we assign clients to a dedicated squad. Each squad works closely with a small set of clients as opposed to the helpdesk model used throughout the industry. This approach allows the squad to work much more collaboratively with our clients and really get to know not only their technology stack but their business as well. A typical operate squad is made up of an agile delivery manager who leads the squad, multiple engineers with advanced backgrounds in AWS and Azure cloud setups.
The squad you will come into has a fantastic mix of deeply experienced cloud experts as well as those earlier in their careers, all driven by the newest technologies. This comes together to offer our clients a fantastic mix of skills and capabilities. The squad in question is relaxed, funny and client focused, utilising constant communications with their assigned clients using Slack or Teams (client choice) to keep on top of everything that is required day to day.
You’ll be working with a variety of technologies and tools such as AWS Cloud, Azure Cloud Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, GIT, Azure DevOps and ARM templates (just to name a few!)
Our need to adapt fast has never been greater which is why learning and growing is such an important part of our culture. While we are doing this, we also love to celebrate our individual successes as a team, there’s no glory in winning alone.
