What You'll Do...

Are you coming to the end of your degree and wondering where you’d like to go next? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to kick start your career in a fast-growth tech company?

We’re looking to fill our 2023 cohort of Graduate Cloud Consultants, so if you’re interested apply now!

Here’s how your first month will look…

  • With dedicated onboarding, our People Team have introduced you to everything DevOpsGroup, from our systems, policies and tools, all the way through to how to use the brilliant coffee machine!
  • You’re fully set up with your kit – you get a choice of a Windows or Mac laptop
  • You’ll join with your team where you will begin joining the team stand ups, and start to understand the work they are delivering for our customers, and the technology they regularly use
  • You’ve learnt about a new technology!
  • You’ll understand how your learning pathway and personal development plan looks, with full support from your line manager and technical mentor/buddy
  • Any queries or concerns? These have been addressed and you’re more than ready for your DevOpsGroup future

By month three…

  • You’ve experienced life as an Engineer within DOG and have started shadowing some of the Senior Engineers
  • Maybe you’ve joined a couple of customer calls
  • As you’ll have full access to our DevOpsGroup Academy, you’ve probably completed a training course or two, and managed to get a new certification under your belt, such as the Agile or DevOps Foundation, or even an AWS or Azure certification
  • You’ve attended your first DevOpsGroup internal conference which we call DOGconf
  • You’ve continued working with our internal automation team to deliver some awesome stuff, to support the work of your co-workers across the business
  • You are now familiar with every member of the DevOpsGroup family

A full year with DevOpsGroup…

  • You know what is required of you to achieve the next grade in your career here
  • You’re likely to be working on a live client project, maybe you’re helping a customer with a cloud migration or supporting their platform, either way, you’re loving what you do and continue working towards a shared goal
  • You’ve learnt A LOT, from Agile & DevOps methodologies to a bunch of different automation tools, and feel comfortable using these to build out scalable solutions

What we're looking for...

  • A 2:1 or above in a relevant degree subject, such as Computer Science or Software Engineering for example
  • A keen interesting in technology and a passion for learning
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team (we are big on collaboration here at DevOpsGroup!)
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • An understanding of DevOps and Agile principals with a keen interest in Cloud technology would be advantageous
  • if you’ve explored automation tools (either through study or in your spare time) then big bonus points!
