Head of Design
Lydia is the Head of Design at DevOpsGroup. Lydia has a passion for craft gin and great coffee, as well as simple effective design.
At DevOpsGroup Lydia oversees all things visual; everything from the website to the artwork on the office walls. She delights in finding new ways to push the DevOpsGroup brand whilst ensuring that it’s consistent across all media.
Lydia spends a large amount of her time improving the experience of the DOG website for all users. She really enjoys understanding the psychology behind design, and how to apply this to create a better user experience.
Before joining DevOpsGroup in 2016, Lydia worked as a freelance designer and an in-house designer within marketing teams. Since joining, Lydia has enjoyed working on a wide variety of projects. Her first project was revising the company brand, developing our unique image style and DOG characters. One of the most exciting projects she worked on was the Cardiff office move, unleashing her passion for interior design!
Lydia is passionate about helping people to develop. She enjoys mentoring the design team and is really proud of their achievements. She loves working with them to think of new and interesting ways to delight everyone.
When not in work Lydia is often found scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest looking for 1960s scandi interiors inspiration, with Downton Abbey, Star Trek, or Grand Designs on in the background. Lydia is often looking for new gins to try, and enjoys learning about craft gin; hopefully one day she will own her own distillery! Lydia has a young Sprocker (half Springer half Cocker) spaniel, Ludo, whom she loves spending time training.
