About James

James specialises in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. He has more conversations about branching strategies than he would like.

James Joined DevOpsGroup in October 2014 as an Automation Engineer helping clients deliver their software effectively. He’s migrated clients into the cloud and consulted on more effective ways to deliver software, both technically and ways of working.

James has over 20 years of experience working for some of the UK’s largest financial services companies, including retail banking and fund management. He’s worked in software development as a Senior Software Engineer, providing technical leadership to software delivery teams.

For the last 10 years, James has been on a journey into DevOps principles and practices working with Development, Operations, Environment Management and Release Management teams to help them optimise and automate their processes.

James is passionate about helping his fellow engineers have fulfilling and rewarding jobs.
