Lead Engineer
As an Azure ace, Bob ensures customers benefit from skilfully built pipelines that meet the demands of the digital age.
Bob joined DevOpsGroup in 2018 as a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer and quickly progressed to Lead Engineer, helping customers transform clunky processes into frictionless pipelines.
He supports scaling businesses as they seek to improve ways of working and eradicate technical debt through the adoption of DevOps principles. This involves designing and implementing continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines in Azure DevOps and architecting highly available, scalable cloud-based infrastructures. Bob has extensive experience automating repeatable processes with PowerShell as well as using Terraform and ARM to deploy infrastructure as code.
Since completing a degree in Computer Science, Bob has spent most of his career specialising in Microsoft technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure. This focus and dedication keeps him at the forefront of the rapidly evolving platform. We think this gives him the edge when it comes to devising innovative ways for customers to maximise the business benefits of cloud adoption.
Outside work, Bob is equally dedicated to his ever-increasing collection of bonsai and his French bulldog Marty.
Burnout is a big issue for IT professionals. Keeping up with change in the digital age will always be hard, but you can make the environment safer.
One of the 5 key DevOps metrics championed in the annual Google “State of DevOps Report” is “deployment frequency”.
