In a glittering awards ceremony, held at City Hall in Cardiff, DevOpsGuys were presented with the Best Tech Workplace Award.
The evening was attended by Alun Cairns Secretary of State for Wales and 400 guests that represented Wales’ largest tech companies, SMEs and most ambitious start-ups, as well as academic leaders from major Welsh Universities and colleges.
The hard work and investment into employee health and wellbeing, along with the significant investment in their office space in Capital Tower, helped DevOpsGuys secure the award.
DevOpsGuys have always been committed to diversity and has partnered with organisations such as Chwarae Teg, who recently awarded the company ‘leading status’ in their exemplar employer awards, which recognises diversity & equality in business, and a commitment to diverse and inclusive practices within the workplace.
“The past five years have been incredible: we’ve employed a talented and ambitious team, worked on fantastic projects with industry leading companies, and established strong partnerships.
‘In the last year, we decided to create a new office space in Capital Tower, Cardiff, which was officially opened by Secretary of State for Wales Alun Cairns. Receiving this award recognises the hard work we have all put in place to create an environment which is not only fun and engaging but also a place that maximises potential and performance – allowing creativity and collaboration to flow. “ said James Smith CEO, DevOpsGuys.
The investment in the office environment is key to the growth and development plans for the company. It was important to James Smith and Steve Thair, Founders of DevOpsGuys, that the space reflected the culture of the company. Working closely with CBOF Group, the amazing office, with panoramic views of Cardiff is now a space that provides an amazing place to work, and is also a tech hub, hosting an amazing range of meet-ups.
